Barack meets with the Top Ten Callers in Columbus, OH

"There's no black America, white America, or Asian America or Latino America. There's the United States of America."
Barack Obama

Purpose

This site seeks to show the world that Barack Obama has the support of a large number of white voters in the United States. Obama's overwhelming wins in states such as Vermont, Maine, and Iowa all demonstrate this fact. We want people to see that Obama's campaign for the presidency is one of gender, class, and racial UNITY. Through his supporters—who judge Barack not by the color of his skin, but by the contents of his character—the world can bear witness to the genesis of a more unified and dignified United States of America.

State of the Election

Barack Obama has won the democratic nomination after competing against one of the strongest and best-known political machines in recent history. He has earned the support and confidence of everyone from small-town voters to respected party leaders, including his one-time opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Opponents of Obama (both past and present) have attempted to diminish voters' accomplishments by using divisive tactics and misrepresenting statistical information. Despite the fact that it would have been impossible for him to win the nomination without overwhelming support from all races, their commentary implies that Obama has not won significant white votes.

This campaign is not about any single race, class, gender, creed, or sexual persuasion; it is about including them all under one nation.

The Obama movement is about something larger than Obama himself; it is about political representation of all of us who have not been fairly represented in the past. What is fair? Having minority voices heard, having our needs and rights recognized, and having those needs addressed and resolved.

Only Obama has offered this opportunity. Black, brown, red, yellow, gay, rich, poor, and yes, white folks, have all answered this call to political action. Our politicians should represent everyone. The tyranny of the majority, when that majority purposefully or inadvertantly suppresses others, has no place in a democratic land. Obama stands as a testament to the quality of leadership the people of our country demand: representation of all peoples, honest and transparent political action.

The End!
